Friends and family play an important role in the life of a student. Children who are supported and encouraged to read perform much better.
That's one of the reasons we wanted you to know about our Read-A-Thon at Hall-Dale Elementary School PTO. The Read-A-Thon allows us to raise funds while promoting a love of reading with our students.
We invite you to make a donation that will benefit Colton and Hall-Dale Elementary School PTO. When donating, we encourage you to leave a message for Colton, which means so much to young readers.
Your support is very appreciated.
The Hall-Dale Elementary School PTO is very excited to announce that we will hold a Read-a-thon fundraiser this year!
Our Read-a-thon is a program that encourages reading throughout our school community, brings our students together with their friends and family to strengthen excitement in reading, and encourage literacy building skills. The Read-a-thon promises to be a fun and exciting journey for all participants as they begin a personal Reading Adventure that challenges them to complete as many reading sessions as they can over our 2-week event. Students will earn prizes for reaching both reading goals and donation markers.
The HDES PTO supports and builds the school community by hosting community events such as a back-to-school ice cream social, supporting teachers with funding to spend on classroom supplies and field trip needs, sponsoring enrichment programs like Chewonki and special guests, organizing informational nights, encouraging students, faculty and staff with Star of the Week and Teacher Appreciation Week events, improving the facilities with playground equipment and library books, planting and maintaining the school garden, and many others! The donations that each student earns will go directly back to the school to build on these programs and more.
Your involvement makes a difference.
Please help support our Read-A-Thon by making a donation and asking friends and family to do the same.
